First shed or any for that matter is always exciting. Did you get to see the event? I was lucky to and wow, what a show! Good thing I knew what to expect if not I would have freaked out. I'll always remember walking by her tank and seeing her flat on her back all legs spead out! Looked like she had been shot down by a cowboy!!! But then, seeing her come out of her old skin was the neatest thing I've ever seen. I wish I had my digi cam back then...

Definitely one of the coolest things about tarantulas!

Wouldn't it be cool if lizard skin came off all in one piece perfectly and all in tact like that ? Hehe!

I have a lot of rose hairs... and have sold them by the hundreds but I have never seen one so bushy!

I love how they look fresh after a molt... such a nice metallic pink carapace.
