Sorry that we can't really tell you where your boa came from! There's plenty of places it could be. The two most likely, would be Surinam or Guyana.

Its a beautiful boa! i'm thinking the same thing! Its either a Suri or a Guyana... but i'm still learning to tell the difference i'll try to get some opinions and let you know!

Locality for a Guyana or Surinam boa is really hard to tell. Both countries have common borders, and since snakes don't care much for borders, you will find some identical looking specimens from both countries.

The Surinam and Guyana names are mostly use to make a difference between color variations in boas. The Surinam's color is light and more on the gray side, while the Guyana's are darker purple and pink.

It's pretty much impossible to know if your snake was born in Guyana or Surinam, but with the light coloration, I would call it a Surinam with an aberrant pattern on the tail that may make for some interesting babies. You may find that when you breed it, that aberrant pattern will show up in the babies as partial stripes.
