Hi guys, I am not new to this board but I haven't been here in 4 years, I totally went out of reptiles when I got pregnant and now my son is 3 years old and I would like to get a gecko for him to watch and of course, for me to take care of. I'm going to a reptile show this weekend in St.Jacobs, ontario and was wondering what I should look for? I wasnt a leopard gecko kind of girl when I owned reptiles, I was more into snakes but I thought I would start off easy for my son.

Thanks in advance,

Krissy former owner of Tailwhip Iguana rescue

If you don't like leopard geckos but want something really calm and as easy to care for i would suggest a fat tail gecko. They tend to be a lot calmer than leopard geckos anyways. I know someone will suggest crested geckos but they tend to be jumpers and if you're going to let your son hold it the something that moves slowly is a better option.
