we have bought some frozen small mice and larger adult mice. right now we are thawing them and feeding her like every 4-5 days. so far she has not turned down a meal yet since i started taking her out of her hide and removing it and putting the thawed mouse next to her. i then cover the tank with a throw and peek in after about 20 min and its gone. so far since the fast this is te only way she will eat. is feeding her every 4-5 days not a good thing to do? the mice a little on the small size but i dont think she can eat 2 at one sitting. after she eats and moves to the other side of the tank, nudging her, i put the hide back in the tank and then i leave her alone for a day or 2 before i hold her again.i actually just need a bigger tank and then i wouldnt have to take out the hide to feed her at all. she slithers back into her hide and dont come out til evening..lol

Small meals a little more often arnt bad especially for yoing still growing snakes. I would say its fine to feed that much untill shes big enough for small rats; theres a time where any extra food they get is put towards growth but its thought that after that time and their growing slows down a bit extra food could just end up being extra weight on them and at the extreme cause certain parts and organs to grow faster then others (thats when your really pushing food into them though). You can also try to wean her off of the total secrecy method you have going, she should be comfortable enough to eat without the blanket and with you in the same room.

well this is the only the past 2 feedings and i wanna get her back on a schedule before i change anything else about her diet like the blanket. if that makes her more comfy to eat then so be it for now. we also have a cat that hovers over the tank when i am trying to feed dremora a ft mouse so its better that its covered or the cat freaks her out...lol
