Hey guys;

I've got a small male burmese python, estimated age approximately 6-7 months. He gladly at two small rats (all petco had) about 9 days ago and still has not passed any waste. I've had a ball python before, and he was very regular, and never waited more than 6 to 7 days after eating to deficate. How long should I wait on this burmese python before getting concerned that he's constipated, and am I safe feeding him again in the meantime?

I just don't know exactly how different this snake can be from a ball python....i figure i should be ready for anything though :)

9 days isnt long at all, watch for a comming shed as they tend to hold it. Start worrying when they havent gone in a month or so and start acting strangely, a constipated snake wont act normal. If you want you can try giving him a soak in slightly warm water for 15 minutes or so, or even just handling alone can stimulate the bowels.
