Hey everyone,
Quick question. I have an 06 male granite brumese python that is between four and five feet long. He was housed in a large rubbermaid for about 6 months. The whole time he was in the rubbermaid his attitude was always very placid and calm. He was very easy to handle. Your typical burm. Well about a month ago I put him in a 4' x 30" x 12" Boa Master enclosure. From the day I put him in the larger cage his attitude has changed 100%. He is now very aggressive, and very noisey (hissy). He is very difficult to handle and acts very panicky and flighty when I get him out of the cage. On a couple of times he has struck at me when out but usually is just very verbal and tries to run away. Almost everytime when I put him back he repeatedly strikes at any movement outside his cage, striking at the plexi-glass doors. Now I have had about 10-15 different burms in the last 17 years and have never had one change like this. Anyone have any ideas as why the change would have done this and what I should do to get him back. Any and all comments will be greatly appreciated. Todd

I have a boa that was like that and all I did was put something over half the glass. But it never work I gave her more time to settle in to her new cage she then was fine. But now since I have breed her she has went back to being the b#$ch she was. Maybe giving him more time to get use to the new cage might help him and you out some. That is very unusual for a burm to be aggressive my to never showed anything when I moved them to bigger cages.
They loved the idea of the move. Maybe someone ells on here might have a better way of calming him down for you good luck.

Cheers
Chuck
