Could you explain: ''once I begin feeding my ball". What do you mean by "once you begin"?
I dangle the item, the ball takes it.
Begun and ended in 2.3 seconds.

First off spend $10 & buy a good BP book, that will answer & solve most any questions/problems that should arise. If you read it right off it will prevent them in advance, Mark

is this problem happening right now? or are u just askin for future reference? if happened now dont get worried balls are infamous for doin this specilly durin the winter months(which s right now). but if it starts to get thinner and still wont eat than u should bring it to a vet.

i forgot to add, sometimes snakes of any kind wont eat because of temperture, internel parisites, and because since u only got it yesterday it might be still stressed out from the ride home and needs to adjust to its new home.

yea i figured that. i tried feeding him/her twice yesterday, but then i just figured id give him/her a week or so to relax. but i have to say im quite impressed with the temperment. the on the second day i could get 'em out and socialize hime. he/she hasnt struck at me yet, but im sure it'll happen in the not too distant future lol

I should maybe mention that it shouldn't be handled until after it has settled in & begins feeding either. Interaction should be at a bare minimum until its feeding well, Mark

thats kinda right and wrong. the first day i got my ball i held him right outta the box and he ate fine on the first feeding. sometimes it depends on the snake.

No its "right" if you read what into what I'm saying ;) "IF" the snake is not feeding, don't handle it until it is, as it is just additional stress that may prevent it from feeding even longer. ;) Of course one checks out a new specimen when it arrives, but it should be then left alone after that until it is established that it is going to feed. Handling a nonfeeding snake isn't going to help it begin feeding any sooner ;) Cheers Mark
