If you do your research you should do fine, but if your a beginer I would start with a different snake Bloods can be very aggressive and they are very strong.I've heard people compare an adult Bloods strength, equal to a 14ft Burm,if you like Bloods I would start with the Borneo Short-Tails they don't get as big as a Red or Black blood and they tend not to be as aggressive.I owned a pair of Borneo's and they were great hope this helps and best of luck.:):):)

bloods are heavy snakes i read as heavy as a 11 foot burm when adult so if u have no experience get a king milk corn or ball

I would have to agree with RIBBIT start with a smaller snake Bloods need an experienced handler they require high humidity and exact temperatures, and they don't tolerate handling very well.So if your looking for a snake you can handle and hold on to I'd start with a king, corn, milk or a ball python until you get the experience to handle a bigger more aggressive snake.Hope this helps:):)
