What makes you say that? How can you tell? (I really don't know)
BTW, about my other post with the 6' sav, the one I saw was darker and didn't have the spots (or they weren't as pronounced).

I say it looks female because its tail base is fairly narrow for an animal that size, and it doesn't seem to have the angular head profile of a male (I'd need a side view of the head).
The one you saw that was six foot was a blackthroat. They do get six feet. Quite dark in colour with fewer light spots on the back.
