Well I am 24 and currently in the US Navy. The money I get for college will be going toward becoming a Ophiologist and a Arachnologist. I have been fascinated with snakes and spiders since I was very little. My mother is afraid of both snakes and spiders so I always got in trouble for bring them in the house and as my mother called is, "playing with the deadly ones." She never liked the idea, but now she just telles me if I do make these my job that i can't keep them in my house (e. g. because of children).

I love snakes and spider equally and find both fascinating. I started catching them when I was about 13 years old (even poisonous one; almost got bit by a Black Widow once). I have kept logs of all things I have kept from there size, type, etc.

So does any one know of any good colleges where I can learn to become a Opiologist?

Welcome to ssnakess!! It's a pretty good resource for knowlege.

"Playing with the deadly ones" means telling Marine jokes in a Marine bar (being an Army vet and junk)

They're nicer people than they let on!

When I wanted to be a herp vet about a decade ago, I heard UC Berkley was a good school to go to, but currently I don't think there's any such major in the US, but you can study and specialize in it I believe.
