Are there any snake breeds that can coexist peacefully? Does it matter about size or species? Ive got two snakes, both about 7.5 ft long..ones a retick and the other is a red tail...both are female and I was wondering whether or not they might possibly be able to coexist peacefully in one very large enclosure. Its a hand made box, 5ft by 5ft, they both need a lot of space. Is there a chance that they could live together or would they kill each other?

They probably could live together for a bit, but as was stated in the other thread they shouldn't for many reasons. At 7.5 feet your retic should be having a growth spurt right about now if fed well, my female I just got at 7' has grown to almost 9' in a month and a half, so it will very quickly out grow that box.

I have had two BCC's living together for their entire lives so far. They are sisters and haven't been separated since birth. Right now they're 4.5 years old and they just moved into a a 8ft x 3ft x 3.5ft - 1000+ liter enclosure last night. I take them out separately to feed and have never had a problem.
So many people have told me that they shouldn't be living together but I don't think my girls could be any happier. They follow each other around and even try to tag team their escapes.
