i would spray your snake with fresh water and it doesnt really matter when but sometimes i give my snake a little spray every now and then but you should definitly spray them during a shedding period

We spray all our boas once a day and some like the brb's are even twice and in the summer just about every time I check or go through the room. for me its about the humidity and ambient temp. I never spray the tanks wet

I prefer the very best, only Perrier. The effervescence seems to rejuvenate the snake; body and mind, like an oatmeal face scrub and a hot stone treatment....

Man, nobody ever told me about the oatmeal masks. Dangit.

I was told not to use hot stones, however....

I keep two big containers of water in my cages one under a heat lamp. That keeps the humidity up for me. It would be great to install one of those misters like they have in the produce section of stores. First it thunders then a couple seconds of mist comes out. It would probably make it two wet though.

Boots, misters for home use can be dialed in to adjust for a finer spray and you can also set the duration of, and the time between mists.

These automatic misters I've seen are pretty neat. I've seen them for about $50 with adjustable misting times and durations. The nozzle is manually adjustable, but $50 isn't much for that.

I mist my boas every day at least twice. as long as the substrate dries and doesn't hold to much water this can lead to scale rot. big snakes seem to be better on newspaper than anything else. chippings hold too much water
