Hey guys. I have some incredible pics of my collection, however I cannot get them onto here. When I do get the file small enough to put on here, the quality of the picture is ridiculous. I am using a 7.1 mega pixel camera, it produces some beautiful pictures. The pic sizes are all around 4-6 MB. I am not familiar with ANY photo software. However, I am not a complete muppet and can follow directions quite well. If anyone can assist me it would be greatly appreciated, as I am dying to get some pics on here. Thanks in advance.

Very easy...
Do you use windows?
Most of the time, you clic on image then resize or image size, then you should have the option of choosing between inch, cm or pixels.
Most of the forums will accept a 800*600 pixels.
Then get yourself an account with a website where you can store images (I use imageshack ImageShack® - Hosting (http://www.imageshack.us/) ).
Once your photo is hosted, look for the photo properties.
You should find a direct URL to the photo.
While writing your post, select insert image icon (the one that looks like a landscape on a postcard)
Copy the URL in here and that's it.
Do not hesitate if need clarification.

PS: a lot of people use 'the gimp' in is a free SW to modify photos.

I forgot to say: do a save as when you're done, so you do not lose your higher quality picture
