The only time any snakes should be kept together is for breeding purposes, specially King & Milksnakes. You do know why they call them Kingsnakes right? ;) Mark

uh milk snake
If you read my entire post I was refering to them both in the same context ;) Milksnakes are essentially "kingsnakes" both are Lampropeltis & both are known snakeeaters & cannibals. so to answer your question again a little more directly NO! Don't keep them together. Why do you want to do so anyway? Can't afford a second setup? No room for one? Or just a general inquiry? Mark
P.S. Nice Albino Jungle Corn cedwards! I like the split saddles, I have ones like that I have held back for breeding/bred. Jungle Corns are a 50% corn 50% CK cross & will bred successfully together to make F2s etc. I breed a bunch of them every year. Where did you obtain yours? Could be from my lines?

Chuck Check with me towards summer I may be releasing one of my albino male breeders a I have another from different blood that I'll be using after this next season along with other breeder males I already have on the go. The one I'll likely let go is young still, but is closely related to some of the upcoming females, so I'll go with one of the 2 up & coming albino males that are less related & let the one more closely related one go after breeding this next season. Don't want to let him go early & rely on virgin males as backup breeders. That make any sense LOL Mark

HEY ALL, JUST BOUGHT A GORGEOUS ALBINO KINGSNAKE, HE/SHE IS ABOUT 5 MONTHS OLD NOW. SHE IS A REALLY GOOD EATER LIVING ON 2 PINKIES A WEEK, A MONDAY AND A THURSDAY! HER SIZE AT THE MOMENT IS 21". HOW OR WHEN DOES ANYONE SUGGEST BREEDING?

First off I'd suggest going with fuzzies or even small hoppers right away once a week. 1-3 prey items weekly based on the snakes thickest girth. If the prey item is the same girth as the snake 2-3 weekly if the prey is thicker in girth upto 1.5 the girth of the snake 1-2 prey items weekly based on size. If its a big one only one kinda deal. As for breeding if its a male once it is 2-3 years it will be good to go & the size doesn't matter so much as long as he is of comparable size to the female used. He should be approx 3 ft & 250-300g+ anyway. Females I go 3 years & make sure they are like at least 3 ft+ & approx in the 400g range, bigger is better when it comes to girls & waiting for the 3rd year will help out both her & you in the long run. Mark
I feed my Cal. King (which is 23 inches) two hoppers a week. they are slightly less then the width of the snake at its widest.
