We are still deciding on which of our animals do put in it. between the kingsnake, ball python, baby red tail, leopard geckos. Figure it would be great for the baby red tail and the kingsnake. Each section of it is 3 feet by 18 inches so be plenty of room for both of em.

What color are you going to paint it?

Was thinking of a mix between black and some stains. Maybe cherry wood stain. I will post more pictures when it is fully done. :)

Ah, I see said the blind man. Good stuff. My doors are nowhere near as nice as yours, I wonder if I just got poor wood for them. Yours are nice and straight, good joints. hehe, good joints.

Dangold plexiglass is exspensive, eh?

Im loving the vents on the side. Beats holes covered with mesh huh?

yea they are for the attic . You can get them at home depot for 1 dollar. They have plastic screen mesh on the inside too. So your smaller animals cant get out.

Hey, THANKS!! I took your advice with the lights. No more hot rocks. The upstair folks are kind of in a quandry with heat gradient, but I believe some clever venting will fix that.

Yea they are awsome..Didn't account for 1 very small hole behind the center board..where the doors close too. So I put my baby red tail in the bottom and my little kingsnake in the top..The next morning they both running around in the bottom LOL..Fixed it tho. And just wait until I get done with my caiman tank..Going to be aroun 6'x2'x2'..maybe bigger gotta love it.

Yea the boa is WAY bigger than the king snake. So it could have been the other way around LoL. It was funny tho, because the kingsnake came out from behind the newspaper. I was like wtf... He just had that look like.

LOL, probably a good thing....boas aren't known for snake eating, but had the roles been reversed....well it could've been not so good. LOL

That is funny though.

Great looking cage! One thing that I would like to draw attention to is the vents that you used. Are they metal at all? If they are, I would highly suggest trying to swap them for some plastic ones or even making your own. Reason being - the snakes could cut themselves on the edges of either the vent holes or the vent itself.

Good work though!

The vents are metal on the outside, but the inside are covered in PLASTIC screen so they cant hurt them selves on them. Thats also good because the little guys cant get out.

Where's the excitement in that? Spice it up with a small hole so that you can spend an hour or so hunting down a snake that's loose somewhere!

yea that sounds like a great idea, kind of like when my last Red tail boa baby got out and searched the house checking it out having fun. Jumped into the dryer and now he is dead....... So if ya want to go around searching for snakes have fun lol.
