Hi I just got a new Python Regius "Monty the Python" today; here are a few pics of it. I'm not going to post pics of his first feeding until I find if its acceptable here.
Welcome to the forum. If it deals with reptiles, it is ok to post. Why do I think that statement is going to come back to haunt me?

Lol it's not that bad of a pic, told my wife it is all natural; you should have seen my wife and her 10y/o brother when he struck! The kid jumped back about ten feet!
What do you give a sick snake?

I would suggest a slighty smaller prey item as judging by the photo its having a slight issue getting past the hips. I personally go smaller rather than the biggest thing they can take. Its easier for them to both eat & digest. I have had Pythons get "hung up" on the hips before & then spit the prey back out after a 1/2 hour or so of trying, thus ending up with no meal instead of a big one. Good luck with the new BP you will enjoy it, Mark

Congrats on the new Ball!
Prey item looks fine.....BPs can handle good sized meals real well, I think people get thrown off a little because that have a small neck, the back third is a lot thicker Most of my hatchlings would take small mice from the get go without any issues.
