BP Sicknesses and Signs of them

Hi everyone i just wanted to know the sicknesses Bp's and what are signs of it and if you can tell me how to prevent it. Thank you:)

Too thier credit snakes are usually wonderfully resistant to desieses. With exceptions in certain species, and wild caught individuals.

However C.B Balls rarely run into sickness issues unless they have been kept improperly, good care is the key to keeping your healthy.

Snakes are also great at hiding the fact they are sick, but signs include:
Odd behavior (your snake is doing something that it normally doesn't do), weezing with discharge from the mouth or nose, refusal to eat (not just a meal or 2 but many over a long period of time), odd blisters, irritated areas, ect. Those are some of the more common signs pointing to the fact there may be something amiss.

This is the Ball Python bible! This book covers anything and everything that has to do with BP's. It also has a chapter (maybe even two) on illnesses in BP's.

Just like other critters, the blisters would look like puffy spots, most likely reddish in color from the irritation, it would look unnatural like it it wasn't supposed to be there. I don't think that is what your snake has, no.

Books are a very goo thing though....another good one is The Ball Python Manuel....the Barkers also helped in putting it together....here's the link from Amazon.com

Get the one from Amazon.com.....same info and 1/10th the price, the only difference is the one from the Barkers is that it has all the Natural History, and wild species data...which is great, but for someone like you who focussing more on the care aspect of it, the one by Vosjoli is much more practical.

Well to tell ya the truth $75.00 for that book....isn't very pratical for MOST keepers....only us die hard fanatics spend that much on books. LOL

Besides which he's just a kid, you remember the days of having to pass everything through your parents do ya? Hell I know I do....when I was 6th grade it took me a 12 page book report of Ball Pythons before they would even consider getting me one. And that's no lie....I actually ened up doing my 6th grade science project on BPs....and 19 years ago...let me tell you, there wasn't half the info available today! And no internet! LOL

It is a pretty common book, just type in the title of the book and author and you'll get all sorts of pages. Also most petshops carry this book in thier stores because of the resonable price, be worth checking out.
