Hiya my names David and I'm new to website. I have a bosc monitor and has only just had a poo. He didn't have one for a month or more even tho he has been drinking, eating and being his normal self. Do you know what could of been wrong with him ??? So i can prevent it happening again.

Just because a Savannah is drinking doesn't mean it's not dehydrated. What is the humidity level in your monitors enclosure? Is it shedding properly?

If you have correct humidity your monitor will not dehydrate out even with adequate drinking water. You want your humidity about 65-75% for a Bosc. Remember these monitors are not desert lizards. They're grasslands.

Also ............. what are you feeding it????
What is your setup????

Hello David, and welcome to the site. I would do a little research and make sure your set up to right. Especially the humidity and food. These would probably be the two main factors. Oh also temp. too. He should be going at least once a week. Good Luck.

Hi David!
I'll go with Christine and snakelady but would also like to see pics of this monitor. How old is he? How much time a week you feed it? What's the temp inside is enclosure? At the basking? What is your substrat?
Take care!
