So, because Aaron_S is bored and there are no unread posts, I have decided to make one of those "everyone will have an opinion" posts...

So, everyone tell me what's on your reptile wishlist. Not the "if I had a million dollars" wishlist, but the critters that you do expect to acquire in the future.

Western Hognoses and that's all I can say about the near future. :p Short list eh?

There's plenty more I could say in maybe 5 years but I figured I'd stick with the 1 - 2 year plan. Stupid college.

Take care

Not looking to get a whole lot more until I get rid of some that I already have. I usually keep anywhere between 80-150 snakes, except during baby season when I have 100's more. I may grab a pair of Lavender Motley Corns this year? & am looking to aquire a male Granite IJ in the next year or 2 for sure. I've been aquiring a few morph BPs for free this year from breeder loans so I may add 1 or 2 to compliment my freebies breeding wise. Wouldn't mind some hognoses again, but can't have westerns here where I live Grrrrrrr. I've had speckleds before they are also pretty cool or maybe some tricolors? Would really like some morph blackheads or a morph BH, but they will be a ways off in the future, unless I sell off a bunch of stuff & decide to spend some big bucks. The Granite IJ will be pricey enough for starters. Mark

Just splurge on the big stuff if it's what you really want. Just think. With the extra room you can just keep saying "I need this one" a lot more often.

Brad, do you just send out a monthly order to wholesalers, importers and breeders?

The Snake Guru
06-29-07, 01:15 AM
RFLOL, you guys are funny. No I don't send out lists to people because I'm pretty particular about what I buy....now if its free that's a whole new ball game! LOL

It'll be awhile on the Boelan's though, once I sell some Coral Albino Sunglows then I'll use that cash to buy one....have a hard time spending $5,000 to $10,000 on a snake at the moment. LOL

I'll second that! I've always wanted a Komodo.

There have been several discussions over the last five years about legalizing Komodos for public sale but it's been shut down every time. Now most zoos can't even get them. It's going to be even harder as I believe they are being put on the endangered species list. :(

My wish list would be....
A candy cane corn snake.
And ill get it as soon as we can afford it after we move so its anywhere from 3 months to a year away id say.
But first id have to sell Terri, and all his stuff. Ive tried posting in this forums classifieds but i can't yet. Can some one explain thereason for this please?
After that id say it be aquiring a female uromastyx hardwicki. I am one of very few people that keeps this species, according to his vet anyway. And i personal havent met another keeper either. Once i get the female, i hope to breed them and sprend the love for these cute little yoshi lizards. lol.
