Should the sSnakeSs classifieds be enhanced?

I'd ditch the whole breeders/dealers section as not one of them has used it in years, some don't even exist anymore & some were NEVER used at all ever. If it is kept it should fall below the regular classifieds & only have "current" ones. Most of the breeder/dealers asked in the past to have their stuff removed but it was all kept up as the last owners didn't give a rats arse what the members & "supporters" had to say about things. Thanks for letting me know Mark. I have been removing them if I could not find them on the web or closing the area when I noticed they asked to be removed. With the new system, I do not think they will be present. Thanks for voting.

I like the style and layout of the classifieds, but they could use some weeding out of old stuff. I wish there were more people posting in the US classifieds! Other than the older posts, it looks pretty good!

I just think that the sections with no ads in them should maybe be condensed.

Like the wanted section for example. Maybe keep snakes, and lizards and then group all the rest into a General Reptile section. Even then I doubt it'll get much use but at least it doesn't look like a zillion sections.

Thanks for the suggestions. The new classifieds section has really only been online for a week or so now, so I will give them another month or so before I consider changing anything. They are just too new, and most members do not know they are there. Sounds like I should have made an announcement when they were changed over. :)

i just joined and i thought they were a nice touch hell i even decided to use them after i checked them out

It seems to me that pictures that I upload onto the classifieds get resized so that they are really small. I think that the pictures need to be bigger so that people can easily see a good representation of what is available. Does this make sense? Just my opinion though :)

I also don't think that the breeders/dealers section should be removed, just updated and moved into the classifieds section. If you do end up keeping this aspect of the site, I would like to find out how I could be added to it.

I will try to look into the classifieds section this weekend. I had thought that if you clicked on the ads, the picture would super size but that does not seem to be happening. I guess I will look at that first, then move on to cleaning up the breeder/dealer section. Not sure if I can merge the two thought.
