What happened? I've been gone 2 years and come back to my favorite reptile site to find that there's 2 posts a month here???

The Turtle and Chameleon forums I used to frequent have no posts since 2 months ago.

What happened here? Did something go down and I missed it? Where is everyone?

I also noticed when you come to the main page there is some temporary webportal page. Did ssnakess sell to someone?

Thanks Robert. I looked back through the many many threads as people slowly left the site over the last year.
My guess is, the site was sold to someone who doesn't care, all the good members and breeders left, they are slowly chopping features out as the site dies off to save money.
Looks to me like the site is all but lost, only a matter of time. Too bad.

Just in case anyone reading this thread does not realize that this is an old thread, I wanted to let everyone know that things have changed once again. I have recently taken over the site, because I care about the site. I will be working hard to add the features back in, and get the site active again.

I had considered removing threads similar to this one, that refer to our problems in the past, but felt that they should not be deleted since they were part of this forums past, a dark part. So there will be times members will come across references to things that happened in the past, but please keep in mind that we are working hard at turning things around.

Hasn't ssnakess always been CDN owned? Except for maybe the last year or 2were it reallly sucked? Other than that it was always a CDN site & is now again, all the mods were CDN before the "orginal sale" BTW. Mark

Yep, sSnakeSs is once again in Canadian hands, and since I am currently the only moderator, I guess you can say all the moderators are Canadian as well. That is not to say that only Canadians are welcome.
