Hello everyone. I recently had a tragedy with a disease/virus that killed all three of my ball pythons. I'm thinking it was IBD judging from my snake's symptoms (stargazing, regurgitating, sudden death), and that all my other animals seem to be fine. I don't have a qualified vet in my area to do a necropsy to find out for sure. My question is this...My balls tubs were next to my Tokay's cage and I was wondering if it were posssible the disease/virus could be lingering on the tokay, it's cage furniture, or cage itself? I don't want to get any more animals at all until I'm POSITIVE my reptile room is 100% clean. Any help is appreciated. Thank you very much in advance.

If it was IBD, I belive its species specfic ie boids. so the geckos should be ok.

yes if it was IBD then the gecko should not be harmed by it. however, i cant say for sure that it wouldnt be on the cage furniture and such in the geckos cage. you would probably just want to disinfect basically that whole room before you got any more animals. sorry i could not be of more help but i have no personal experience with IBD.

Thank you for your replies. I guess I asked the question kinda aksed it wierd, let me try again. If i were to get new ball pythons, would my tokay possibly pass it on to my new snakes. Thanks again
