hi well my female has been spitting out a couple eggs a day for abotu 3 days. then stopped for a day or 2 then layed another 17 so far. most of them look orangy like th eother but most are regularly shaped and whiter. will the blood vessels be very evident just after they are layed? any other indicatos they may be fertile?? there is a male in there but has only been in the cage for about a month or so...
any help would be appreciated. when these finally do breed they are gunna be killer. sundaeXchico baby from capital dragons and a pastel lavender and yellow female..

You will notice blood vessels after probably the first day or two, you can incubate them all until you know for sure they are not fertile as well. If the male was only in there for a month its possible but he could have just gotten to her a little too late. You will notice if they arent fertile if in a few days you cant see veins in them, it will be an orange/yellow that is clear and you will know. In fertile eggs you will see the veins and a small embryo sometimes as well.

Likely most of the eggs are slugs. I know with snakes when they are "slugging out: they tend to deposit them over a period of days thru out the tank, not just in the lay box or intened area. The nice shaped white ones will likely be fertile, the smaller, odd shaped discolored or "orangy like" as you put it will be slugs or infertile eggs. Slugs also tend to feel different to the touch & have a slightly different smell to them as well. Slugs are also generally laid at the begginings & ends of clutches as well. Mark
