Problem please help . . .

Ok I just spent 40.00 on a little panther gecko (I know alot) and I brought it home put it in, it's temp home. No here's the prob, it's gone. I don't know how it got out but it did. It's not in the dirt substrate, it's no where I could see. Now does anyone have any idea where it might have gone?? Also IF my stupid good for nothing cat (sorry I really do love her, just mad that she might have eatten it) did eat it, could it hurt her?? I really want to find this little guy. Thanks for your time.

if ur cat got to it, there would prob be some evidence, also it owuldn't likely hurt ur cat.
best thing to try is all the dark corners of the room it was in, then if no luck pray, sorry couldn't be more help. geckos can be found if u surprise them ie turn the lights on in the middle of the night

Never really thought of trying to surprise it!! As for dark corners, it's in my room, I have so much stuff in there it's not even funny. Ok well it's not that bad but it is in the basement, with a not so even floor/baseboard/wall connection. It could be any where. Thanks anyway.

Set up a heat lamp over a small tank on the ground in a corner with mealworms, etc. and put some calcium powder on the bottom of the tank, so it gets on their feet, preventing it from climbing out... Thats what I was told happens with most "stickey geckos"...

sounds similar to the snake trap we set out when we had a snake go missing. cept we use a bucket to big to get out of and a brained rodent. annother trap we use is a spare sattilite receiver. plug it in under some safe furnature from the cat and the snakes supposed to be drawn to the warmth of the receiver. funny thing is we've never had one of traps work though other people who've mentioned both to us swear by them. maybe we haven't had enough snakes escape yet.
