Oh you know some people think the only good snake is a dead one. Gonna snap some pics, let him warm up a bit, then release away from people.

His neck is just fine! In fact he's really unharmed. I think what you see is a twig that got in the way when I took the pic.

Corals are beautiful! Some people are so ignorant when it come to snakes! Good job on the "rescue"!

Cranwill, they are indeed hot. Envenomation occurs most often when they are handled roughly I'd say. Very dangerous for little kids. If I remember right, a 6-7 year old was bitten this year when he picked one up. Recovered though I'm not sure of any permanent harm. Here's a belly shot of this one.

Send him this way!! :) I desparately need another Eastern Coral for my Envenomation Protocol Training programs. I already have 9 of them scheduled in March. Guess I need to get out into the field ASAP and try to find some :)
Looks pretty good, i was wondering what was on the neck but on closer inspection i see it's not touching at all. bleh 2D.
