AS my previouse post says my female laid a clutch of 28 eggs on feb 9th.
I didnt have much luck with incubating those ones, had a huge mold probleme, too much humidity is my guess.
And this afternoon right before work, i see little eggs scattered around on the bottom. She was on a high branch dropping them, so i gently coaxed her down to the lowest level of branch. She popped out 12 while i was there and still looked really fat, so who knows how many she poped out. My guess would be around 30.
So this time around im going to control the humidity better and use perelite right from the start. along with the proper sized cooler.
Now what i am wondering is why she wont lay them in a hole. Ive never seen her anywhere near the bottom of her cage looking for a spot to dig. The bottom is a mixture of sand peat moss and coconut fibre, the moisture level seems right as i can dig a nice hole quite easily without it caving in. The substrate is also a foot deep.
Will they lay two clutches so close together if they are not fertile?
Help me out roo, lol
peace
