I am preparing for my first snake--a corn--and have been told that they'll do fine in a 10 gallon enclosure until they get to be near adult size... Sounds like I'd need a 20 gallon then.

I'm leaning toward the Exo-Terra terrariums. I saw one at a local pet store and love the design, especially since I might make it into a vivarium.

Sizes (in inches)

12x12x12
12x12x18
18x18x18
18x18x24

I need some advice on the size. They come in the four sizes shown above and it looks like the 18x18x18 is the closest to 20 gallons. Is this too big? Could I go with the one size smaller? Is footprint an issue (i.e., the fact that this terrarium is taller rather than wider)?

Those enclosures are intresting, but I have never liked them. In their ADs they always stuff in way too big of an animal and they cost way too much. Besides, corns need more floor space than height. I would stick with a normal aquarium.

Thanks, I got a Visionarium instead. I also got two emoryi, since I live in Georgia (and can't own a corn).
