My new snake rack................Thanks Shane!!!

Well my rack is now completed so I thought I would show you all the great job that Shane Tesser did on the rack!

These are a few pics he took before I picked the rack up. I have put in 3 inch heat tape and a helix digital control. The rack has saved space and is so efficient. More importantly, the snakes have adjusted very well.

i have a question.....how does the helix work?...does it have a probe that monitors the tape temp?
i've seen them in the U.S. but can you get em in Canada?

Matt..........I ordered the helix control from Beanfarm in the U.S. You cannot purchase the control in Canada. It is very simple to install. Simply wire up the heat tape as usual........the plug goes into the digital helix control and this in turn is plugged in. A temp probe is put into one of the rubbermaids and this is used to continually check the temp. You set the temp at whatever you like and the control simply maintains it.

I must say it is a wonderful device...........only problem is the cost is in US and you have to pay shipping. However no regrets here!

hey how big are those tubs? and is the 3" inch heat tape enough to keep the overall ambient temperature up, or do you have the whole enclosure in its own room where the ambient temp of the room provides the ambient temp for the bins?

Racks are good for rooms that have an adequate ambient temp, heat tape pretty much just provides a basking spot.
