I got my Bermese a very weird way...
On Holloween night, 2 months after I moved into my new home. I hear a bang at the front door. I go to the door and theres a duffle bag there so I turn on a light and open it. Well to tell you the truth there was a 6 ft Albino Bermese in that bag, and I never had a snake before in my life so I examined it and noticed black bugs all over the place crawling and ****. So bad that it was under the eye lids.. Nasty, so anyway I read up on it and ask alot of people alot of questions. Found out provent a mite is good soaked Earl (my snake) for 3 hours in water and then used the provent a mite as described one time never had a problem again had him about 5 going on 6 months and is doing excellent. Eats about 3 to 4 jumbo rats every other week. He is now 8 ft long (Shall I feed him more??). The only thing is every time I go to take him out the cage he does hiss a little bit and cocks back in an "S" SHAPE until I touch him and pick him up hes perfect and even allows me to rub his head. Does this mean he will strike?? I handle him about 3 or 4 times a week and never striked at me or anyone or anything other then what food I have given him. Please advise me!

Could strike yep, I'd get a snake hook for removing it from the enclosure rather than just reaching in. Once hooked it will likely be fine to handle. Better safe than bleeding, Mark

that is a strange way of acquiring a snake but oddly not so strange when were talkin about burms, its way to common of an occurance that these animals are dumped either into the wild, onto the doorsteps of zoos, or onto other people doorsteps.

we all know why this is... (**hint** they get pretty big pretty fast**)
BUT THATS WHY THEY ARE INCREDIBLE

If it is usually pretty good about things you can just reach in with a stick even & give it a little tap to make sure its awake & knows you aren't food LOL & then pull it out. You can make one but a Burm is going to require a fairly solid one. Check out herp supply cos in your area or there are places such as Midwest or The Bean Farm. Mark

check out out on ebay a guy named Brett Gardin makes some hooks of all sizes and sells em very cheap compared to pretty much anywhere else I jus got a 40.5" hook with a 4" head and it only cost me $24US plus $15 to ship from florida to toronto Canada which is till much cheaper than most hooks would be at a reptile store...
look it up The Ultimate Field Herping Hook
