View Full Version : drinking water
Hey everyone, just wondering how thristy your carpets are usually??? and if they drink from a bowl? Mine will not drink from his bowl or go in his bowl or show any interest in it all all....... at most I caught him draped along the edge of it but that's it. But when I spray the tank..... he'll spend about 10 to 20 minutes drinking water off the glass, it this normal? or is my little guy just extra thirsty???
oh and do you mist your snakes directly? as in purposly get them wet? mine didn't seem to enjoy it to much so I stopped, but he does seem to appreicate the cage being wet down.

Well I mist my tank and my carpet doesn't seem to lick the drops so my guess is he drinks mainly at night when i'm sleeping because i've also never seen him drink from his bowl, maybe that's what yours is doing too.
I've seen carpets do both. They will drink from a bowl, no doubt about that; you just dont see them drink from it. If you mist often enough, it may just rather have the fresher water dropplets as opposed to the standing water in the waterbowl. but that doesnt mean it doesnt drink from the bowl.
and dont purposely mist the snake, but they dont really mind the spray they do get while you mist the cage.
dont worry about your snake, it's perfectly normal.
