i have a grandis day gecko, and its doing fine except that the last two times he has shed he hasnt been able to get the dead skin off of his feet. i have called a couple of vets to ask for advice on how i can help him get it off his feet because he cant climb the walls of his cage now and he doesnt like being on the bottom of his cage. they told me that they cant tell me over the phone, and that id have to pay the fee and bring him in... im not going to pay 35-65 dollers to get a simple answer to a question. so im asking you... is their any way that i can help him get the skin off his feet... it would be appreciated

i have put him in his travel case... and put water on the bottem of it and left him in thier for an hour a day but he still cant get it off the tips of his toes...

What I do with my leos is I have a rubber maid container with moist forest bed in it to keep humidity even for them so they can go in when they need to and leave when they've had enough I'll admit I help them with a little if its a smalll bit if its large they usually take care of it themselves over time. I would just keep doing what your doing and give him a very SMALL amount of human help, give him too much and next time he'll just leave his intire shed for you to take care ofwhich would be horrible.
