I just got myself a young kenyan sand boa, he/she is about 8 inches long. I am just wonding if there is any easy way of telling weither it is male of female? Do Ihave to wait till it's a little older and bigger?

Thanks

Also my buddy got himself a spotted python bout a year old, his spots seem very dim and hard to see, do the spots tend to come out more as the python matures? or is this a sign of stress or sickness?

If you're not familiar with Kenyans it will be hard to tell, but otherwise males tales are quite a bit longer than females' and usually you can tell by looking. But that's only if you had enough experiance with them. If not, probing is the only other way.

it is not 100% but look for spurs on it if they are noticable then it is prob a male females spurs are very small and not very noticable it is always better if you have a few to look at the same time
