How many meals until brumation?

I want to Brumate Jose to reset his clock from him 5 month fast. How many meals should he have before I do this? He was a healthy weight all during the fast and he has eaten 3 meals of one small adult mouse each thus far.

Ummm alice i wouldnt reccomend brumating anything unless its for breeding purposes... If he is eating again now, just leave him be.. :)

well I thought that since he started fasting about when I moved back to a place with central air conditioning that he had brumated himself. I also figured it would be a good idea to brumate him to reset his clock so that he doesn't do it again next summer. I had planned to do it Jan-Feb but I think I may do it Feb through March. I think he was brumated by the previous owner so it may be inevitable anyway. I'd rather him do it at the right time than in the summer again.

when they brumate they should have no food in their belly. but they brumate based on their temperature and daylight period. if you keep these constant then there's no need to brumate them, though I've heard that some LTC require brumation no matter what you do.

WC animal that has been in captivity for at least 6 months or 1 year, depending on who you ask.
