Bibrons

I was hoping one someone could tell me a little about bibrons geckos. I have read care sheets, but i've never seen a worse case of contradiction. Some say they need it humid, others are suggesting sand. I've been told they are mean, and squabble a lot but have deffinatly not found that to be the case with the ones we have a work. I don't even know if they are nocturnal or diurnal. Does anyone know how to sex them. I was looking for femoral pores but saw none, and these guys are sub adult to adult size.
Anyway, any help would be appreciated.
