jen,
is the baby home, like in your possesion yet?
Very very nice......... I really like him/her, do you know the sex??? I thought I read somewhere that GTP's should not be sexed till a cerain age, do you know if this is true???
Very beautiful..... and im very jealous :grumps:
Yup, sexing a gtp to soon can injure thier extremly delicate back bones causing kinks and other not-so-healthy tail anomalies. in fact its not even a good idea to move a baby gtp at all. best way to clean or hold a baby is to either move the perch with the youngster on it or to coax the guy off the perch with a little belly tickle.

escm -- no, he's not home yet -- I won't get to meet him in person until the new year, when I move out... I can't wait :)
dvs -- I don't know the sex actually, because what you read is correct -- it can be quite harmful to them to try and sex them before a year of age because their spines are very delicate, especially at a young age. So at this point, I'm just calling him a him because he looks like a boy to me... hehe :) But for all I know, he could end up being a she when the time comes to actually sex him...
And thanks! I really like him too :D
so who did you get him from? and do you know who his parents are?
---
EDIT:
ahh right chris marshell, you already told me that :p
Very nice GTP! Absolutely stunning :)

LOL escm -- yes, I got him from Chris Marshell :) He might still have a couple of babies left if you're interested -- or at least he did when I talked to him on the phone the other day ;)
Thanks Jay! :D I'd have to agree *grin*
Great pics, the names always the hardest, specially when you don't know the gender

No kidding Lisa -- I haven't had this much trouble deciding on a name since I got my first cat... LOL :) For now, I'm assuming that he's a he -- so I'm looking at masculine names... there's some feminine names that I like too though, if he turns out ot be a she :)
Thanks Nuno :D
We've stuck to a russian naming system... some of the names are just russian words others are just russian sounding names. and 2 of our ball pythons are named after the 2 spies in rocky and bullwinkle (boris and natasha)
Zameya is russian for snake. which i found funny cause katey insisted i couldn't name him "snake"
Silnya is russian for strength so we named our biggest snake that.
