First of all i'd like to give big ups to markus jayne. After trying to figure out genes and how they work for months on the internet. I was looking through markus' site and noticed he had a genetics page. Ill tell you for anyone who doesn't understand genetics, go visit markus' page. It'll blow you away how easily he explains it. Today i learned everything ive been trying to understand for the last couple of months. It all makes sense now. Way to go markus, great work. Thanks alot and keep er' up. Alrite, now i got a few querys. My male bp (approx 400g/born aug05) might have been making clicking noises, which would mean a Respritory Infection has occured. Im not exactly sure if he is making the clicking noises, or it is his scales being brushed backwards and moving back to position(like pulling a snake out from under a blanked from the back, his scales would make kinda a clicking sound, or even if you stroke them backwards on the belly/sides). Ive been listening for the noises lately but cant hear them anymore. If this is an RI is this one of the more serious ones? I know there are 3-4 different RI's that are common in ball pythons. ANother question, What are the main causes of RI's. From what ive read, 2 high of humidity causes RI's and 2 low of humidity will do the same. What may be the case if mine does in fact have an RI. I am maintaining a relative humidity of about 40-45%, I cant really get it any higher, when i do try to get it higher i end up turning the tank into a jacuzzi(the walls covered in water, the substrate around the walls soaked like girls in white shirts at a waterballoon festival):D And even when i do that, the humidity is still between 40-50%. I know this is a long post, but deal with it

I had a few more questions but cant think of them right now. Wait, about the water soaking the substrate from trying to raise the humidity. Will wet cypress mulch start to cause any kind of parasites or problems for my snake? Its not 2 wet, just the stuff around the outside is moist and damp most of the time.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks for looking and your time.
