last summer I had posted concerning two clutches one of my female had laid 3-4 months after being with a male. All 4 eggs hatched beautiful healthy cresteds. well she still has not been with a male in all these months but last night laid two more nice looking eggs. so what are the odds these will be fertile?
It has been nearly a year since I seperated her and her male partner, they weren't even suppose to have been together at that time, but my male had managed to somehow shimmy and squeeze over a divider in their shared aquarium. They are in completely seperate aquariums ever since that incidence because my female was too young and suffered from calcium deficiency after laying the 2nd clutch. I did not ever intend to breed her after that experience.
I did read on a website once that lizards can lay fertile eggs up to one year after being with a male. Anyone ever hear of this or experience it?
