today i found a box tirtle that had came out too early
he was still alive but barly so i took him in and put him under a small heat light and tried to bring his temp up slowly sadly he didnt make it

Sorry to hear that.
I know you meant well, but in situations like this it is better to leave the animal where it is. Heating it up at a rate you perceive as 'slowly' may have been to the animal's detriment. Reptiles of temperate regions are incredibly cold tolerant (physiologically) and the perception of 'barely alive' is just lowered metabolic activity. Like I had mentioned, it's best to let nature take its course as it may very well have made it.

I'm sorry to hear that but unlike most people you tried to save him I'm happy for you and maybe sometimes miracles happen and next time you will be able to save whatever is next. Good Luck next time!
