i was just wondering how hot is too hot for a basking temp for a beardie?

ive looked it up and different ppl suggest different temps in their care sheets. i just re-did the lighting so my flood light was getting better output. and its a 90w that i had to take out. cuz i saw my temp on the basking area rise to almost 130.

is that tooo hot or could i still use that flood light? right now im playing around with a 60w i found, but its no good, only bout 85.

the dimensions of my tank are, 4ft long, 1 1/2ft wide, 2ft high

the dimensions mite help, but i dunno. any responce back asap would be appreciated.

Hey there 130 is alittle too hot even though beardies have been seen in the wild basking at these temps.I keep my beardies basking temp at 95-110 .This temp seems to be quite good and they seem comfortable.Bulbs come in a variety of wattages so keep trying them till u find the one that will provide the right basking temp.Personally I like to see a higher basking temp than 85.Good luck and take care.

this thread could be deleted now, or wut ever. i went out and bought a dimmer switch to control the heat. so blaze is now at a comfy 105 which should be good :)
