that was so cool! i was putting my mbk in his feeding cage when he bit me. he would not let go. he just wouldent! then i remebered somthing i had seen on the internet it said to put the snake under cool water thats what i did. my mbk finally let go and he went Wild it was so cool!!:medbigsmi

yeah, he probably thought your fingers were food. My Cal king used to do it all the time. The water usually worked though sometimes it took a while to let go.

dont mean to thread jack but what do those numbers mean i.e. 0.1.0. new to the reptile world. ive had my cal banded king for a week now.

the numbers refer to the number and sex of animals owned. it goes male.female.unsexed. so 2.4.1. means i have 2 males, 4 females, and 1 unsexed specimen.

heheh oh mexi blacks... after two years i FINALLY got nipped the other night... of course this happens about five minutes after i try and spend an hour convincing a friend that snakes arent scary at all, or at least not mine, and how she's completely harmless blah blha blah

although she didnt do much damage... i kind of stood there in shock for a second just because its never happened before and then i was like "IS THAT ALL YOU GOT!"

I know the feelin !
I've had a male cal king for 'bout seven years he's never even looked at me sideways when i picked him up. I trusted him 100% then 'bout a month ago i reach in and he nailed me and tried to eat me. you just never know !
wish i could have seen my face though. lol
