What do you feed your feeders?

I feed mine a straight diet of Mazuri 6F Rodent Breeder.

Because I blow all my money on new snakes...I figure if cat food is good enough for me.. it's good enough for the rats ..Damnit....:(

i use those Green lab rat blocks and find that they work well...although kinda pricy....a buck a pound but they seem to last long....

Nutri-Block formulated rodent diet blocks (not sure if that's what the block thingies are in the poll) And also a seed mix called nurtiphase which is also a rodent specialty food. Thinking about starting to buy bulk though cause at $10/5lb bag and 1 bag a week, the $15/bag for the 15 kg is sounding pretty good.

Bout one day a week i empty my fridge of vegies and cupords of nuts and any other type of food thell eat!

and the rest lab diets for feeders ...

I also give mine dog and cat food a couple/few days a week. I also give bird seed, millet, and leftovers from dinner! :)

They really enjoy millet spray i give my birds, and i also cook and egg for them sometimes if I see like a 50 baby pile up in a cage. Just to make sure they have enough. :)

But of course, with only less than 50 mice at all times I can waste time boiling eggs for them...hahaha

grant: wow buck a pound! :eek: lol...that is a bit pricey. i use mazuri, its a zoo diet made specifically for rodents being bred as feeders. I get a 50lb bag for either $12 or $18 (cant remember which). lol...only downfall being i have to drive all the way to oakville to get it :eek: my cars good on gas so its no biggie though :D

Everything costs so much more in the far north, and the price of the specially formulated rodent feed is "over the moon". I use it only as a rare treat. The staple diet for all my rodents is cat food, supplemented with vegetables. They also get table/kitchen scraps, breadcrusts (rarely, the dog loves them, too), and sometimes a nibble of popcorn (Hubby loves the stuff, and gives them the half-popped leftovers, and anything that he's got left over after it's a day old). For supplementary protein and calcium, I'll once in a while give them poultry bones, beef bones, liver or heart (all well-cooked).
