I reckon all have been too busy with the holidays to post lately.

I have a question concerning my veiled chams. I noticed differences in the veils on my two chams. the one I have raised up from infancy has a fat veil and cheeks. his limbs and the rest of his body may be only slightly plumper than the veil I acquired at two years of age. otherwise the older guy is a larger cham. The older cham seems to have gotten a bit plump in the cheeks since I have been caring for him. Is this where they store excess fat? In the veil and cheeks? I haven't been able to find any info on this in any cham books.

Id say thatveilds tend to store excess fat/water and it can accumulate in the cheeks and cask although i see it more offen in olderish males, Iv had chams that wouldent put any weigt on at all and they seemed to always have a "slim" cask and have had males that put on lots of weight and look very plump. you can se this male has a plump cask and cheeks as well as a nasty tude.

Thanks for the info, that puts me at ease. Although he seems perfectly healthy, I was concerned of his head exploding :) but he looks the same as your guy in your picture.
he has always had a good appetite and probably overeats compared to what he would get in the wild. and he is lazy, if I don't hand feed him he won't eat. he just lays out on his perch and waits for me to feed him. he is quite gentle for a cham, he doesn't get all hissy like my older guy and doesn't mind being handled.
