I have a tank that I would like to spilt, by putting something down the middle (width wise of course) so that my two corns can share it. But I’m wondering how to do this. Is there a product sold for this? Since they are corns, its going to have to be strong, I don’t want them getting at each other. On that note, I am wondering, should I let the snakes see/smell each other? One is male, one female, and neither are breeding age yet. Thanks for any help you can give me!

A wood or plexiglass divider works fine, just use aqurium cylicone (don't try to correct ym spelling, just live with it :) ) will hold it in nice and strong !

Where do I buy that? Do I need to make the divider a solid colour so that they can't see each other?

i would use the aquarium sealent, if you use the hardware stuff it may make a toxic gas when you heat it up. just a sugesstion

To make plexi or glass non-see thru, just coat it with a thin layer of black silicone (sp?) from your hardware store. (squeeze some out of the tube, then use a um... (whats that tool called? It looks like a metal spatula) to spread the silicone over the glass in a thin even coat. And as for them smelling eachother, yes they can. They can smell eachother even if they were in different tanks in the same room.

Heres a link that talks about using silicone: http://www.blackjungle.com/gallery/talltank/image6.html

Well I bought an aquarium sealant, and then 2 different sizes of tank dividers that were made for fish aquariums. They are a flexible plastic and filled with holes to let the water flow through. They attach with rubber sliders. So I guess that when I choose which tank to apply it to I will use the sealant to make it stronger. The good news is that they were fairly cheap. I have a variety of tanks to choose from for this, I just haven’t picked a size yet.

However, I am still wondering if I should worry about them seeing each other. Does it matter? How good is a corn snakes eyesight anyways? They are currently in 2 tanks that are next to each other anyways… Would this make any difference?

Thanks for all the help and idea so far! I really appreciate it!
