Im hoping someone will be able to help, my friend has a bearded dragon that went into brumation in September. The beardie woke up sometime in october, she thought it was up for good, and fed her. The beardie then went back to sleep and woke up about two weeks ago, she said she's fed it at least 30 crickets and it eats salad everyday. The problem is that the beardie still hasnt pooped!! She has checked the entire take everyday, and nothing. Im worried that her feeding it then it going back to sleep may have caused impaction? The only advice i have been able to give her is to try giving her a warm bath and still nothing has happend. Do you think its best to take it in to the vet or can anyone give me a suggestion for her? She says its still acting the same other than being a little calmer about sitting in her hand and not moving but when its put back in the tank it sits on its log and sleeps where it normally does and acts like nothings wrong. Any information would be great
Thank you
Shannon

I would suggest a vet visit for a stool analysis ASAP. Your friend will have to take the beardie in (obviously) and they will be able to take a fecal sample from her and test for parasites or check for impaction. If its just parasites, one or two different types of medicine will be used for treatment. If it happens to be impaction, then the vet will be able to help fix the problem as needed. The other thing that should be done to keep her happy and not going into brumation again is to move the tank from view of any window and make sure the room has relatively constant temps. That is about all that can be said with the information given, but let us know how things work out or if there is anything else we can answer for you.

basking temps are important. To cold or lights not being on long enough wont help. What are the temps and how long are they on for? undigested food can cause all types of problems over time. Impaction is possible but only an x-ray can tell for sure.

The warm bath was a good idea .....I have 2 bearded's and they act differently one will have some sort of movement regular enough you can tell time the other weeks apart ....can't really say what makes the difference they both have same diet but have different habits....Never been impacted though just try to regulate good heat supply and warm baths or spray ...personally though I would'nt make a deal out of it just yet ......however if the beardie seems to be acting out of character....sluggish or ill in appearance the advice of a vet is important..." always best to be on safe side.
