what type of moss would be good for a crestie terrarium. should i just go with harvested shagnum moss? so i can throw it out. but i would prefer to have green growing moss. what do you gusy think. also stuff that doesnt have parasites in it would eb good too.
thanks
i would go with organic shagum moss from a garden store. there is you can use.
but you also have to be carful on how clumsy it is or it mite choke on the moss

well all shagnum moss is organic it is wildcrafted from bogs and peat comes from deep in the bogs. living moss would be more my speed i think though.

i don't really see a problem with using live moss exept that cresteds poo quite a bit and that moss will have to be replaced as it gets fouled. If you are collecting wild moss (at this time of year??) you have to be careful about centipedes which are poisonous. One good trick for ridding moss of unwanted crawlies is to weight it under water with a stone for a couple of hours.
