Brazilian Rainbow Boas

Trying to decide whether to get some ball pythons or Brazilian rainbow boas.

Do they bite a lot, like as much as a JCP? My JCP used to bite a lot and I didn't like it much.

What are your experiences with this snake?

I am getting ready to add Brazilian Rainbow to my collection so I have looked into this issue. Apparently, they tend to be nippy when young but grow out of it with regular handling (at least that is the most common response I get). Some owners I have talked to have never been bitten, others say you have to watch them even when they are adults. It would appear to vary from snake to snake. Ball Pythons are extremely tame, of course.

I just bought my BRB last Saturday and it has been very calm. Yesterday I was misting/rotating it's cypress mulch and when I tried to take it out of the cage it bit me twice. Most of the neonates I've seen are nippy but usually grow out of it. They are hardy snakes as long as you meet their temperature and humidity requirements. Although I keep the humidity @ 85% for my BRB compared to their suggested 70%(neonates are more sensetive to low humidity than adults, 70% is ok for adults). I've had tons of Ball Pythons(just got rid of all of mine) and they are excellent snakes if you get a captive bred. Alot calmer as neonates than BRB's and easier to care for....
