View Full Version : Why no location with ad?

After so much heated debate on this subject, I will never understand the wisdom
of not listing a location with an ad in the classified. Personally I skip over any ad
without at least a location, I'm sure I'm not the only one. This has been brought up many times before, to no avail. I would recommend to Admin to consider templated forms to anyone
who wants to place an ad, with price and location mandatory. We all have very busy
schedules and it's very frustrating to have to e-mail the seller only to wait a week for
a reply. Some people are totally clueless.

People who dont post locations will have trouble selling animals. It's to their detriment. You cant force people to use common sense. It drives me nuts too, but what can you do?

Some people don't have access to a digital camera or know how to post pictures,
so I can't fault them for that. But it takes 2 seconds to put in your location, I guess
common sense just isn't to common.

If they don't post a location quite often I'll email them & ask whether I'm interested or not just to let them know its silly to post an ad without one. In reguards to pics its my experience that 9/10 folks that want them never buy anything ever anyway & just like to see pics. Mark

You can find pics all over the net, which is easier then waiting for an e-mail.
I don't believe people are just e-mailing for pics, 9/10 people not purchasing
is normal in any business. I’ve had ads without pics and 9/10 not purchasing was normal. You would have to be able to read minds to know they’re only after pics.

I was more refering to the folks who get back with the old "they look really nice but I can't afford anything" or "I would buy one, if only my Mom would let me have a snake" etc. etc. Like why ask for pics when you know darn well you aren't even in the market to buy. Had a 1/2 dozen such emails this week alone without running any ads. Mark ;)
