View Full Version : do leo's need a heat lamp?
lateley ive had my heat lamp for murphy turned off and he's done just fine. Does he really need one?
they need a certain amount of heat in order to digest their meals properly. Is there an alternative heat source? Without heat you may notice that his stools consist of undigested mealies or crickets, depending on what your feeding him, which I imagine can't be pleasent for him let alone meanign he is absorbing the nutrients from his meals.

Leos benefit more from belly heat. Hopefully you have an undertank heater:)
