Quick Help Please - Why Is She Eating His Tail?

Hi guys,

My female Gargoyle has just grabbed hold of my male's tail and won't let go - is this cannibalism, or could she be pregnant?

I am guessing that the chances are he's going to lose his tail - if so, what do I do with him?

First off, how old are they? If they're adults chances are she might be gravid. If they're just juvies, or subs then I wouldn't really be housing them together.
If she does get his tail you'd be best to seperate him and make sure he's eating and such, as he'll need the energy to grow his tail back. Good Luck!

I don't keep GG's but i've heard that it's very common for juvis growing up together to eat each others tails. It's like an extra source of protein. Some ppl don't bother separating them, because they consider it normal, this is not to say i suggest keeping your together, i'm just telling you it's a common occurrance.
