well we were at the pond today and I caught a centipede and put it in a thing that you buy snakes in at the reptile show. I had him in there temporarily and he was fine and everything but at 2:00 (I caught him at 12:00) he looked limp and everything. With his limbs somewhat drawn in, he isn't stiff though. Did he die? He was doing fine and I was going to put him in a tank later. He is a 3 inch centipede.

when I picked him up his legs moved some to.
Dont know how he's doing, but I can tell you that centipedes are EXTREMELY sensitive to humidity. They can dry out and die in a matter of minutes. The need moist substrate and hiding places immediately in any enclosure. That could be your problem.

the smaller the centipede is the more important humidity is. it likely became limp because of dehydration.
